Endocrine-Hormone Disrupting Chemicals and Reproductive Health

A large number of common substances (pesticides, common household items and chemicals, industrial chemicals, metals) has been shown to have that mimics estrogen, and other endocrine disorders of the hormone, including;

2,4-D is applied with grass crops such as wheat, home and public lawns and gardens and on roadsides, golf courses, forests and waterways.

Permethrin is an insecticide derived from chrysanthemums. It has used a variety of purposes, including head liceTreatments and scabies, insect repellents, household insect foggers and sprays, tick and flea sprays for yards and pets, termite treatments, agricultural and livestock products, mosquito control, forestry and wood treatment.

Dioxins are byproducts of the manufacture of chlorine. They are formed during combustion and included in the manufacture of chemical compounds containing chlorine, such as pesticides and PCBs. The production and use of certain chemicals, chlorinated, bleachingPaper, and the incineration of waste, including the uncontrolled burning of municipal waste, the main sources of dioxins. Impact on reproductive health, including reduced sperm production, decreased testicular weight, reduced testosterone levels, delayed puberty, and endometriosis were observed in experimental animals.

Phthalates. Studies have shown damaged, shrunken, undescended, or atrophied testicles reduce sperm production, damaged sperm, the destruction of the Sertoli cells (theproduce sperm) and lowered testosterone levels in the offspring. Phthalates are used as plasticizers or softeners in polyvinyl chloride (PVC, vinyl), including children's toys, teethers some, food packaging and cling wraps, medical equipment, backpacks, shower curtains, vinyl flooring, wallpaper, decorative and construction products, blood bags, adhesives, mosquito repellent, plastic plumbing pipes, nail polish, skin moisturizers, perfumes, solvents, cosmetics, personal care products,Wood finishes and insecticides.

Arsenic is a naturally occurring element, as a heavy metal. It is as a preservative in timber (eg, pressure-treated wood decks, fences, play equipment and housing), to insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, manufacture of glass, semiconductors, metals to make alloys (in lead-acid – car batteries, for example), some medications, and home and farm fertilizers.

Perform. The most important sourcesContinue to lead the old paint in houses built before 1978, lead pipes laid before the 1930s, and the soil by highways and busy roads. Impact on reproductive health, including decreased fertility, increased rate of miscarriages, premature birth and delivery, low birth weight, low sperm count, erectile dysfunction, abnormal sperm shape and size.

Mercury. The most common organic form of mercury accumulates in the flesh of fish, animals and humans, especially predatory fish species, such asas shark and tuna, and bottom-feeder, such as cancer. Animals exposed orally to long term, experienced a high level in laboratory studies, adverse effects on the developing fetus, sperm and male sex organs, and increases the number of miscarriages and stillbirths.

Together, because these substances have estrogen mimicking effects, they are called "endocrine (hormone) disruptors known.
