Crucial prostate cancer, which all citizens are aware
The prostate is only for men. This is a small gland the size of a walnut, located below the bladder. Shaped something like a donut that surrounds the urethra – the tube that carries urine to the bladder. The main function of the prostate is the seminal fluid that nourishes and protects the sperm produced by ejaculation.
Prostate cancer is known recently, the most common cancer among men in Western society. Often the treatment is not necessary becauseThe disease is slow growing. This is a rapidly growing, unlike other forms of cancer in general, and dissemination. However, prostate cancer can spread to other parts of the body, including bones, can cause pain.
The difficulty or inability to urinate, especially at night, is one of the most important symptoms of prostate cancer. It may also contain small amounts of blood found in urine, or a weak urinary stream. Other symptoms can include pain or discomfort in the thighs, hipsand the lower back.
These symptoms may not necessarily prostate cancer, can through other, less serious conditions. But if you're not one of these symptoms, you should always consult your physician for a diagnosis.
The causes of prostate cancer are still determined not fully covered by the research. There were however a small number of cases, combined exposure to high radiation. Genetics also seems to play a major role. Prostate CancerOften appears more than once with the men, respectively, in the same family. Therefore, if you have a family history of disease, be sure to recognize the regular health, to solve the problem soon. It should be noted that rarely develop prostate cancer in men aged under 50, but the risk is increased significantly after that – is about 50% of all cases of prostate cancer, according to the age of 75.
Although not yet conclusive, suggests that current research shows that a diet high in fat may increasethe risk of prostate cancer, while vitamin E-rich diet can (tomato, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and Brussels sprouts) to reduce the risk. But even if a more healthy diet actually does not reduce the risk of prostate cancer, improve your overall health, which in turn make the prevention and cure of disease more successfully.
Some believe that a vasectomy may increase the risk of prostate cancer, but until now there is research that supports this hypothesis. Some studies have shown that 200 mcg of selenium taken daily may reduce the risk of disease.
Like other forms of cancer, successful treatment depends on early diagnosis. As the cancer is more advanced, the cure is more difficult. All over the age of 50 must come to understand the signs of prostate cancer and to consult a doctor if symptoms are present. Some of the tests that are used to detect prostate cancer are:
